Nationalism—the belief that one’s nation and its specific culture/heritage is the best (extreme patriotism)
Imperialism—the expansion of national borders (esp. into foreign colonies) in order to demonstrate a nation’s strength (bigger country = better country)
Militarism—the development of a military in order to demonstrate a nation’s strength (so that the nation will always be ready for war against any rivals)
